Every once in a while I get an urge to do something different. I like a challenge. I like to learn. I like to grow. I've definitely learned that if I am going to grow, I need to try new things. Learning to shoot and find my groove in a new studio after being in the same place for the last 4 years is definitely a challenge. When I first learned to shoot glamour and boudoir photos using strobes and other sources of artificial light, and only recently have I found a style of shooting with natural light that I love. I was dying to experiment with some beautiful portraits with a clean, classic look rather than the same old Victoria's Secret push up bras and crazy backgrounds. So I dug around on Pinterest for a couple of weeks for some inspiration and pulled it together. Using a few vintage slips I found at an amazing shop in Rhode Island this summer and busting out my sewing machine to make a tutu, everything started coming together. Carlee came to the shoot with some simple wardrobe items and Shannon blew it way with her hair and makeup skills. Determined to shoot with only natural light and a couple of white reflectors, I can't believe how amazing these images came out. I am so grateful to Carlee and Shannon for helping me to execute my vision and for allowing me to "just do my thing." PS... There are still 2 more sets of images from this shoot I have to share! Stay tuned.
Glamour and Boudoir by Glamour Bitch Photography has officially opened our new studio! So far, it has exceeded every one of our expectations and we think you will agree. We are now located in the quaint and charming heart of Collingswood, NJ, just a short drive from the old studio. Our gorgeous new space offers clean beautiful light, original hard wood floors, crown molding and a vintage feel both inside and out. All of these little details are now making our sessions even more unique and even more glamorous than before. The studio easily accessible via car or train, especially since we are located right next to the Collingswood PATCO station. There are TONS of great restaurants and cute boutiques located in our neighborhood, too.
Take a peek at some of the photos, and make sure you come check us out in person. You can also see photos from Susan and Shannon's session in our new space in previous posts!
Amanda was one of the first clients we got to shoot in our awesome new South Jersey boudoir studio. We had a blast the day of her shoot and am thrilled that I am able to share some of her images. She booked the shoot so that she could surprise her fiance with an album of beautiful images, and I am sure he won't be disappointed. Amanda was also sweet enough to share a little about her shoot experience, too.
After seeing my friend Laura post picture after picture of herselflooking fabulous, I decided to take the leap and schedule a shoot with Glamour Bitch. I was a little skeptical that I would look as gorgeous as all the other girls on the site...since of course, I am the only female in the world with stretch marks and areas that tucking in and smoothing. At least I thought so!! I was lucky enough to be one of the first to shoot at their beautiful new studio. I was greeted by Dawn who is so sweet, laid back, and comfortable to be around. Any fear or nervousness was gone as soon as I arrived. Then I met Shannon - she was so easy going and fun to talk to. It was like hanging out with 2 old friends, not perfect strangers! When I got to look in the mirror when my hair and makeup was complete, I was floored. I looked absolutely stunning!! The shoot was so easy and fun. Dawn knew exactly how to pose me to accentuate my body and showed me how to relax my face. I wish I would've booked the "All out Supermodel Experience" just so I could've stayed there all day. What started out as a gift for my fiance turned out to be the best present I could have given myself. Thank you so much for an amazing experience! -Amanda B. Tiffin, IA
