Ever since we moved into our Collingswood, New Jersey studio, I've been dreaming about an outdoor/ garden boudoir photo shoot like this. Something about summer always seems to get me itching to try new things or bring an idea to fruition. Little by little I started gathering inspiration, pretty wardrobe pieces, and then brought the idea to Shannon and Carlee (of course they were both on board). These two ladies are always key in helping pull something like this off, we just get each other. Our own little photo shoot dream team. We started shooting around 8am for good light and to try to avoid the mid day July heat, but were having such a blast that we worked well into the afternoon. We worked from a knee deep pile of wardrobe pieces and chose about 6 to work with. This first set was shot in a Victoria's Secret romper that Shannon brought along with a bed that I set up in the garden area. These are just a few of my favorites from this set and I wanted to start sharing them right away. So check back soon, there are lots more to come! You can also book your own garden boudoir shoot with us as part of the Luxe session and of course, weather permitting.
Glamour and Boudoir by Glamour Bitch Photography has officially opened our new studio! So far, it has exceeded every one of our expectations and we think you will agree. We are now located in the quaint and charming heart of Collingswood, NJ, just a short drive from the old studio. Our gorgeous new space offers clean beautiful light, original hard wood floors, crown molding and a vintage feel both inside and out. All of these little details are now making our sessions even more unique and even more glamorous than before. The studio easily accessible via car or train, especially since we are located right next to the Collingswood PATCO station. There are TONS of great restaurants and cute boutiques located in our neighborhood, too.
Take a peek at some of the photos, and make sure you come check us out in person. You can also see photos from Susan and Shannon's session in our new space in previous posts!
Recently I had the pleasure of traveling to Rhode Island for the Boudoir on Film workshop hosted by Danielle Fletcher. We were guests at a beautiful bed and breakfast there and were able to shoot pretty much anywhere on the amazing grounds. It was a girlie retreat, learning experience, and a huge source of growth for me both personally and professionally. The few days that I spent with these super talented ladies, changed me forever. Danielle is an amazing photographer who believes in her vision and isn't afraid to push you to believe in yours. Nissa, a ballerina, not a model was gracious enough to pose for us photographers and she did a beautiful job. This is the first set of photos I am sharing from the workshop. Plenty more to come.
Last month, I attended WPPI in Las Vegas which is a huge trade show and conference for professional photographers. Attending WPPI with 15,000 other amazingly talented individuals has always been a goal of mine. This year, I finally felt like I was qualified (in my own mind, lol) to attend. What a humbling and mind- blowing experience to be taught by some of the most amazing photographers in our industry. I was also lucky enough to meet one of my idols, Sue Bryce, and to make some great friends. Five crazy days of lectures, classes, workshops, and networking left me exhausted, inspired, and exhilarated all at the same time. I managed to sneak in time for a photo shoot with some fabulous models and photographers near the Red Rock Canyon in Nevada. It was to die for... seriously. So thrilled to have the opportunity to do something like this, made the whole trip that much more exciting.
And while shooting in New Jersey isn't quite as glamorous as the mountains, it's still a great way to add some variety to your photo shoot with us here! Check out the photos from some of the on location and shoots we've done outdoors in this post- Shooting Outdoors.
Now that the weather is finally nice... I can't believe it hit 80 this week, it's time for shooting outdoors! I love shooting with natural light with all the bright colors of spring. When you book a shoot with us, you can opt to do a look outside (weather permitting of course). There are a few places nearby that are perfect for soft, pretty images. I love Ashley's Guess? girl inspired look and was so excited when she pulled out the bouquet of flowers to go with it. We shot this in front of a dilapidated building on the side of the road. Shannon's look was something we dreamed up and planned for almost a year before we actually got around to shooting it. This looks was shot at the back end of a parking lot! Both shoots were definitely a lot of fun, and even though I loved shooting with Shanna in the snow (see this post), I like spring and summer shooting MUCH better.
